📖 The rules in two minutes
The goal
Place your boules closer to the jack (cochonnet) than your opponent. Closest when the end is over scores points.
The end
The game is played in ends: throw the jack, point and shoot boules, count points — first to 13 wins.
The team
Singles (3 boules each), doubles (3 boules each) or triples (2 boules each).
The circle
Both feet in the throwing circle until the boule has landed.

Boules
Beginners: softer boules 71–74 mm, 680–720 g. Borrow from the club the first few times!
Jack (cochonnet)
A 30 mm wooden ball — included in the club’s equipment.
Tape measure
A 2 m pocket measure goes a long way (or AR measuring in the app).
Shoes
Flat soles with grip — no special requirement outdoors.
